Wall hooks are often merely functional doodads, made from metal or plastic, and none too impressive to look at – but thanks to this rather helpful DIY, you can now make a wall hook that’s a proper bit of eye candy. All you need is a thick and sturdy tree branch (maybe even one from your very own backyard), some paint, coloured yarn and, of course, your store of creative energy. The finished product looks a little like something out of an old-school storybook, and might just give you the warm and fuzzies, since you’ll have made something cool out of a random bit of wood.
